APRIL FISHING REPORT
Well spring is here. Tarpon fishing has started. Fish are showing up inside and outside the pass and harbor. Permit fishing is good and should be getting better as the months go on. The fish have average 18 to 25 LBS. with some sight fishing with crabs. the tarpon are from 60 to well over a 100lbs. we are catching these on live bait , dead bait, and bait busters of various colors.King fish are also showing up in Boca Grand Pass and on the near shore structure. Live blue runners, thread fin herring have been the live bait of choice. we have been catching a few on large spoons, and fast trolled swim baits. The Redfish action has been pretty good with some good size fish being caught. live bait, cut bait and soft plastics. Snook action is on the increase with alot of smaller fish taken up the catch. but there are some big girls there also. And that good old man in the grey suit has be here also.with Blacktips, Lemons and the awesome Bull shark. As the weather stays good fishing should
